Alison Mackie

I’m Alison, executive director at NZTech, leading the industry organisations of BlockchainNZ, EdTechNZ, and NZ IoT Alliance; here to help create a common voice for the tech industry and be the key portal between industry and government.

I am currently a board advisor for Digital Securities Global, a member of the Young Directors Committee with the Institute of Directors, and a finalist for the 2023 Emerging Directors Awards. I have a regular column in the Digital Asset Investor magazine, where I write on regulatory updates in the digital asset space across APAC.

With my background in anthropology, my key interests lie in emerging technology and its social impact on current and future generations. My vision is that emerging technology serves as a vessel to create meaningful societal shifts for a better future. I hope to spark inspiration in others to bring this vision to life and help influence change in both the private and public sectors.
