The Plan: TechWeek23
To save my LinkedIn post from holding far too many links - Here’s the rundown of my schedule for TechWeek23 to shamelessly plug all the things I’m doing!
Monday 15 May:
Wearing my wider NZTech Alliance hat, I’ll be speaking alongside some of my wonderful colleagues at the TechWeek23 launch event, “Digital Nation 2023: Shaping Our Tomorrow, Today” event at the Google offices in Auckland.
Tuesday 16 May:
I’ll be sitting down with Frances Valintine for a TWTV session to discuss digital education in our session “A new era of education: the latest EdTechNZ insights”.
Wednesday 17 May:
It’s a day on sustainability, and luckily I won’t be speaking today! But I’ve organised a few sessions that I’m really excited about.
With the help from Mott MacDonald, their team will be sitting down to discuss Data-Driven Decision Making for Enhanced Climate Resilience & Adaptation Infrastructure Responses.
Following that, NZ IoT Alliance will be hosting a session on Accelerating Aotearoa’s Net Zero Emissions Target.
We’ll be ending Wednesday on something very topical for Auckland - LocationTech is hosting a TWTV session on Mapping the Future: Location Technology and Climate Change.
Thursday 18 May:
I’ll be up bright and early to join the Breakfast team to discuss the digital budget and the digital transformation plan, then I’ll be heading off back to the TechWeek studio to join some of my favourite people to talk about the history and future of (digital) art.
But something I’m really excited about is joining a panel discussion at the Retail:Tech conference to discuss the future of retail and where blockchain plays a role.
Friday 19 May:
Hopefully, I’ll still have my voice and energy by Friday! But I’ll be out and about in Auckland joining as many in-person events as possible.
TechWeek has been part of my tech journey since 2019 when I got involved in the BlockchainNZ events across NZ. I still pinch myself that I get to be part of the team that brings this to life.
